Road in was easy after dry weather. The best part was how close the walk starts from the picnic area.

This is a longer preview note for layout testing. The track in was easy, but the best tables were taken before lunch, so arriving early matters. There was shade near the water, a short walk nearby, and enough room for families to sit without feeling crowded. We packed extra water because the official listing was not clear, and that was the right call. The spot works well for a calm day trip, but I would not rely on phone signal or last-minute supplies. Bring food, a mat, and a backup plan if the weather turns windy.
[Preview] Trip snap 3: Back Creek picnic area
Great place for a slow afternoon. Not much shelter, so the weather matters more than the distance.
[Preview] Field note 5: Bawaii picnic area
Simple facilities, nice outlook, and phone reception came and went. I would pack a paper map next time.
[Preview] Trip snap 9: Borenore picnic area
Quiet morning, clean tables, and enough shade before lunch. Good for a short family stop if you bring water.
[Preview] Field note 11: Buddong Falls campground
Worth arriving early. By late morning the good spots were taken, but it still felt relaxed.
